Try a different kind of work out. Challenge yourself to a new class. If you’re a hardcore runner, try yoga for an increase of strength, flexibility and mental awareness. Julie Mackey, owner of Flex Yoga, specializes in helping people move, breath, feel and perform better.
“Yoga is a practice that incorporates many benefits for competition and mindset preparation,” Mackey said. “With yoga, runners and athletes learn proper breathing, which has everything to do with the way you perform, aids in recovery, works in conjunction with strength and conditioning and provides many mental performance benefits.”
