Julie Mackey

Julie Mackey develops custom mobility programs for professional, competitive, and recreational athletes, as well as corporate client teams.

She integrates movement and recovery techniques through Yoga Tune Up®, myofascial release therapy called The Roll Model® Method, breathing biomechanics, Mind Based Stress Reduction, Mental Performance Mastery, and aromatherapy.

Julie is the founder of FLEX YOGA, which provides performance care for athletes who need to stay at the top of their game. She is an E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, movement specialist, and mind-based stress reduction facilitator. 

Her background in strength and conditioning (CFSC) complements her strategic training programs and creates the balance that every athlete requires to operate at their peak. She is also a communication partner with corporate management teams to help every athlete or employee perform at their highest potential.

By evaluating movement patterns and assessing emotional intelligence with conscious coaching, Julie supports those who are ready to up-level their game and become knowledgeable in how to down-regulate for deeper recovery.  

In order to instill a winning mentality in sports, Julie focuses on empowering athletes with self-care performance tools to train their bodies to withstand the intensity of competition, while placing equal importance on developing mental muscle.

Julie is a firm believer that the more athletes participate in self-care, the greater their chance of improvement in movement fluency with fewer body aches and pains. Projecting excellence shouldn’t just be a commitment on the field or the court, but a value that transcends into their lives beyond the game with their families and teammate relationships. 

Traditionally, Strength, Speed, and Skill are the core focuses of mainstream sports training. However, by introducing mental and mobility components, such as yoga, meditation and mental conditioning, stronger competitors arise who are uniquely primed to face any challenge. 

Julie’s mission is to educate how this tri-flex concept: FLEX Your Mind, FLEX Your Muscle and FLEX Your Might enhances sport performance both internally and externally, reduces injuries, and positions athletes for longevity to achieve their highest potential in sports and life.
