About Julie Mackey
Julie developed FLEX as a multidisciplinary performance company built on one mission:to help athletes move better, think clearer, and perform with unshakable confidence.
As a Human Performance Coach, movement specialist, and mother of four grown children, Julie blends mental performance coaching with movement science to help athletes overcome pain, release tension, and develop the confidence and emotional control needed for high-pressure environments.
For more than two decades, Julie has supported high performers in breaking through self-limiting beliefs, regulating their nervous system, and building the habits required for consistent, sustainable success. Her coaching integrates mindset training, recovery practices, and physical performance tools — creating a complete approach to athlete development.
Coaching for the Complete Athlete
Julie works one-on-one with athletes to strengthen the mind while supporting the body, overcome performance barriers, and unlock the level they’re truly capable of.
As a Mindset Coach, Movement Specialist, Yoga Teacher and Mental Performance Mastery Certified Coach, she helps athletes:
Build confidence that lasts
Stay composed under pressure
Develop focus and emotional control
Improve movement efficiency and recovery
Create performance routines that support consistency
Her signature methodology — The Tri-FLEX Concept — guides athletes to:
FLEX Your Mind. FLEX Your Muscle. FLEX Your Might.
This holistic framework blends movement science, mental conditioning, and recovery strategies to help athletes move smarter, think faster, and recover deeper — both on and off the field.
Building the Mindset of a Champion
Julie teaches athletes to develop “mental muscle” through visualization, goal setting, breathwork, self-talk training, and structured routines. These tools help athletes focus, reset quickly, and perform under pressure — while also supporting their development as teammates, leaders, and individuals.
Her belief is simple:
Excellence starts from within.
When athletes learn to care for both their mind and body, they not only perform better — they grow stronger in every aspect of life.
The FLEX Philosophy
Today’s athletes face more pressure than ever. Julie’s Tri-FLEX Approach uses evidence-based mental skills, guided imagery, and recovery protocols to help athletes build resilience, emotional steadiness, and the capacity to thrive in competitive environments.
Her mission is clear:
To give athletes the skills that elevate performance and protect their longevity, helping them play better — and play longer.
