Learn about 3P's - Pain, Posture, Performance

Learning how to Practice the 3 P's and getting much added ROLL-IEF to my upper trapezius muscles at recent Roll Model Method Training in Chicago, March 28-31st.

Myofascial Release for Self-Care

Last week I spent four days at Empower Fitness Conference. I attended to take The Science of Rolling & Ball Sequencing and Innovation courses on The Roll Model Method so I could eventually be called a certified Roll Model teacher. I have been using and integrating Yoga Tune Up therapy balls in my yoga classes since I was exposed to Treat While You Train with Jill Miller, yoga teacher and founder of Tune Up Fitness and Kelly Starrett, DPT, six years ago and numerous other workshops with Yoga Tune Up trainers, Laurie Streff and Sandy Fredenburg.

I’m “fascianated” by the nine techniques the four different sized Yoga Tune Up® therapy balls bring awareness to, how it affects our fascia from our heels to the top of our head and how this affects our breathing and enhances mobility (if you are a science anatomy nerd like I am or just want to feel good in your body, you should be too!!!)

It’s amazing for so many reasons but especially at addressing the 3 P’s

⚫️ Eradicates Pain

⚫️ Improves Posture/Proprioception

⚫️ Enhances Performance

Click on the link to watch this short video with founder Jill Miller teaching one of the nine techniques on one very tense area of the body (at least on me)— the rhomboid muscles in between the shoulder blades. Your body will love this slide and glide technique!!!

But don’t be grabbing a lacrosse ball and start digging in. YTU balls are specially designed to grip skin and have give. Other balls do not match in this category.

Let me know if you are interested in taking yoga classes that EMPOWER you to feel better in your body because let’s face it stress has an uncanny way of building up more tension than even weightlifting. I would love to see you attend a class or workshop to experience it firsthand too!
